- Who creates the listings and handles buyer messages?
- With ClosetClear, you provide item photos. A Joy Lister handles descriptions, pricing, posting, buyer messages, and offers. On Vinted, you create and manage your listings and communicate with buyers yourself.
- Do I need to pack and ship my items?
- With ClosetClear, you sell through a local network without packing or shipping. ClosetClear does not offer shipping. With Vinted's standard shipping process, you pack and ship eligible sold items using the buyer's selected shipping option.
- How does ClosetClear's 65% / 25% / 10% split work?
- The final sale price is split 65% for the seller, 25% for the Joy Lister, and 10% for ClosetClear. In exchange for sharing proceeds, your Joy Lister handles descriptions, pricing, posting, buyer messages, and offers. You provide item photos under the current service.
- Who pays Vinted's fees and shipping costs?
- Seller costs: No standard selling fee; you receive the full selling price in your Vinted Wallet when the sale closes. Optional paid listing promotions, such as item Bumps, cost extra, with the price shown before purchase. Buyer costs: The transaction fee (called the Vinted fee) is usually 5% of the item or bundle price plus $0.70; the final fee is shown at checkout. Buyers also pay applicable shipping, which varies by package size and location. These buyer costs do not reduce the seller's item-price payout.
- Which service may suit my items and the help I need?
- ClosetClear may suit busy people who want help selling eligible household, larger, or specialty items locally. You still provide photos and share the proceeds. Vinted may suit people with permitted, shippable items who prefer to manage listings, buyer conversations, packing, and shipping themselves.
- Can I sell any household or large item on either service?
- No. ClosetClear focuses on household, larger, and specialty items, but does not accept every item or category. Vinted allows some home and kitchen items, electronics, and collectibles under its U.S. rules, but prohibits adult furniture such as sofas, tables, and chairs. Its listings must also fit carrier shipping limits, making it a limited comparison for larger household items.
- Can someone come to my home to photograph my items?
- Home photography is a planned concierge option, not a service you can book today. ClosetClear is planning packages where a team member or Joy Lister visits to photograph items. Pricing and availability are not finalized; sellers currently provide their own item photos.
